As all our items are hand built to order, we offer unending options when it comes to customising your toy box. Start by choosing your toy box style, added embellishment designs, font choice, colours, fabric and finally whether you would like to add that lasting touch of a personalised message under the lid. All our names and embellishments are hand cut from 12mm medium density board.
Step 1 – Choose your box
Standard – Our most popular size toy box gives plenty space to store toys and big enough to create a statement piece of furniture while being versatile in shape and design to suit so many spaces.
High back – Our high back toy box creates a real statement piece of furniture, the large backs give all the space needed for a detailed and statement design.
Space saver – Perfect for those small bedrooms or living areas where space might be limited but a personalised piece of furniture would compliment the area. They also make the perfect keepsake boxes.
Dressing up stand – our dressing up stands are a 2 in 1, perfect for nurseries where you need clothes and toy storage. With the option of having a open box or a box with a fitted lid they create the perfect storage solution.
They also make the perfect gift for any dressing up fan, with plenty space to hang those costumes and plenty storage at the bottom for accessories.
Step 2 – choose your embellishment design
Whether you have seen a previous design on social media, love a design listed on our website or would like a completely bespoke design made to suit your childs interests/ bedroom decor. We are here to make that happen.
If you wish to have a design not shown on the website or wish to make slight changes to a website listed design please use our contact forum to get in touch for a free design consultation (we will aim to get back to you within 76 hours)
Step 3 – Base design of the box
Our most popular toy boxes are finished in white with the choice to add stripes (Our chart colours are shown in our colour section on our website) Alternatively the boxes can be painted in a solid colour from our chart. Colour matching is also available for a small fee. Please state when contacting if you wish to have a colour match.
Step 4 – Name colour
Please see our colour chart options, Colour matching to fabric and specific requested colours is also available.
We recommend when picking a name colour to use a colour that will compliment your fabric choice and base colour. If you would like some help with this please feel free to just ask on our contact forum.
Step 5 – Choosing your fabric
At HigglePiggle we want you to have your bespoke toy box as personal to you as possible and this includes your fabric options. Popular options will be listed on our website but we will purchase any fabric of your choice from most online stores (surcharges may apply) Alternatively if you have fabric at home that you wish to send or drop off to us, this is no problem too. Please contact us if you would like recommended websites to browse.
Step 6 – Choosing your extras
Side embellishments
Depending on where your toy box is placed you may be able to see the sides of your box. If this is the case we offer the option to add extra side embellishments. Adding stars or hearts for £5 (per pair) or if you would prefer something different please just contact to discuss.
Personalised inside message
Adding a Personalised inside message really adds that final special touch to a toy box. They can be of any words of your choice (please see photos of examples) From 1st Christmas/Birthday messages or special messages from family they are a lasting special touch for only £10.
Step 7 – Design proof
To ensure we have the design exactly how you would like all bespoke orders will be emailed a design proof. This will be a computerised image of your toy box. We please ask that you respond within 48 hours of this being sent over to ensure no delays to completing your order.
If you have not received a design proof within 78 hours please check your ‘junk’ folder.
Step 8 – Delivery or collection
Here at HigglePiggle we are based in Inverness, Scotland. Collection is available from our address and Delivery will be available soon.
We aim to have all our toy boxes completed within 4-6 weeks. If you need your toy box for a specific date please let us know and we will see what we can do.
